I watched some interviews, i HATE his layed back I dont care about sales and charts I just wanna have fun with the album attitude.

Promoting is what he should be doing. He took a 2 year break. He should have promoted his first single as hig big comeback.

And most people dont even know he has a tour coming up..

I thought he said several years ago that he really didn't care about sales or being "successful" anymore. I like that he doesn't care anymore. He accomplished a lot at a young age and he is in no way trying to recreate another Confessions.

This is so weird. He doesn't want to be successfull but yet he released SCTGITY and I don't mind. I'm confused...
IMO he is just trying to find excuses to justify his laziness but again that's none of my business.
I am just glad he is touring.

If he claims to not care about sales and stuff, why is he booking huge arenas and expensive tickets for the tour. Folks are claiming that tickets are still many. If he didn't care about sales, he should do the concert for free or better yet reduce prices (although I've bought mine) . I have a feeling that he knows he f*ckd up with the promotion, singles and management team, but he is too proud to admit it. What happened to last year when he said that the album "will be out of this world" in terms of being epic? He didn't get the response that he expected for the first 2 singles or 3 to be precise

I agree about the lower ticket prices, but the tour also needs to be profitable for the aritst, managerment, venue, promotor etc. I have a feeling that even with ticket prices higher than his current state of radio play the show itself will make up for it.

I'll admit I'm not a huge Usher fan outside the singles and a a few album songs from 8701 and onwards, but I did see the OMG Tour and he was amazing, and his stage presence and the stage itself always delivers.

It seems to be true. Compared to other tours, this one is a bit quiet. Radio interviews don't really do that much.

He only did that ninja thing on Ellen,

He shouldve done real promotion on tv shows. Performing his strong lead single, which is non existing, and do an interview about the tour and his new music.

I agree. I think its an excuse.
He knows he's flopping. Its less awkward when you say you dont care and just want to have fun with it than when you say that you've worked hard and want to be on number one but still underperform with every release.

The promotion for Good Kisser and SCTGITY was so messy.
