Girl, I live in France and I have no hard feelings towards Germans. It's really an asian specific to hold grudge to this day for things that happened so long ago. Saying this doesn't mean I believe my country is pure and whatnot

I don't wanna get political but UK and France still hate each other after all this time, so I don't think it's true that longstanding political issues are restricted to Asia.
There's for sure a little teasing from both sides, but not to the extent that english words would be banned from french tv, and other pretty extreme stuff. UK was part of the EU with France until not so long ago too, so yeah it's completely not comparable IMO.
