I wonder what sort of renegotiation will take place if she stays. She has a lot of potential, so holds a lot of power, but considering where her career is right now...I guess she doesn't hold all the cards.

Interscope is kind of an outdated and slow label. They might like to sign up-and-coming artists (which is how they mostly get hits), but seem to not be very good at keeping up with them in the long run and/or put most of their attention on their biggest ones. Just look at what happened with M.I.A.'s latest album, she threatened to leak it if they didn't give her the release date.
I dare say if Gaga was in a more ambitious label
ARTPOP would be platinum by now and not stop an era short because of a flop single that can happen to anyone.
They were fast to release DWUW instead of "Venus", kind of give them that, but anyone who heard both songs before release must've known first listen which one sounds like a single and which one not.
