I think anyone who dislikes Alejandro hasn't thought about it enough, especially in retrospect after seeing Born This Way.
This article is really long, but is TOTALLY worth a read. It explores how Born This Way and Alejandro are companion pieces that show a new direction for Gaga. There are shots that seem like a shot-for-shot remake of Alejandro, except their message and tone has completely changed. It's FASCINATING.
