I just decided to listen to this album for the first time, is actually the first Selena album I listen to, before today I just knew her singles and I have to say that I'm glad that I give it a shot, solid album!
This era has been amazing, I like how it feels like a natural and very well done progresison for her career and not just like she is trying too hard to erase her Disney image.
The HTM music video is great and she looks very sexy on it but it doesn't feel fake or try-hard.
It really seems like she found her sound and even though she is not a strong vocalist she and the people she works with know how to make her music that suits her voice and the result is great, I personally take that over someone with a powerful voice over-singing.
I must add that even though I'm in ATRL I'm not really into most of the pop girls music, except for Ellie Goulding and Tove Lo, aside from that I usually just know the singles and I like one of those every now and then so I almost feel like part of the GP except that I know how things work and who is going to release something and that kind of things but taking that into consideration its great that I have such a good opinion on this album.

I have heard GFY and SOL quite a few times on the radio, I have heard people sing those songs and talk about Selena and I haven't heard even once one person saying something bad about her this era.
