Well, it's definitely a lot more, um, produced sounding. Like the whole "dark" sound sound is so in right now. Plus there's a lot less high pitched synths. Probably cause of Kanye and Drake.

I was gonna say - Drake has had a HUGE influence on hip hop music. His whole sound is huge now.

Also songs with the Mike-Will esque production with beats like PIU, Bandz, etc.
