Speaking of Mariah I'mma actually get into some of her discography a biT. "Thirsty" and "Meteorite" are just
Meteorite is her best bops in years tbh And I predicted Thirsty to have a trap element in it when others doubt me. My predictions are always spot on Except for predictions on chart positions
I'm just going to take a break from Marina after the VMAs. I still have plans for the next album, but schools starting so I'll be super busy. I'll have fifth harmony out soon, and I'll just promote them as much as I can each week and just hope for longevity with album sales
Charli XCX is currently promoting her singles 'Alone in the Dark' and 'Tokyo Lights' in France, since she didn't come to France before. She stopped by the TF1 studios to perform for the first time on TV the performance of the Sony Remix of 'Tokyo Lights. After being heavily advertised on the french Television especially on the Channel TF1 and after promotion on Billboards, internet advertisements and commercials, TF1 had been expecting huge audiences for this final episode. Charli was being promoted everywhere in France just for this performance alone. "It's so nice to be here in France, I've barely been here... 2 days? and people allover the streets seem to know who I am!" said Charli while talking to the french newspaper Le Figaro earlier.
After being briefly introduced as the superstar of 2014 by the host, Charli appeared on stage wearing some black leather shorts which were custom made by Balenciaga while she was wearing a blue chiffon top by Alexander McQueen. She was also wearing some beautiful Guiseppe Zanotti design heels. She also was wearing black leather gloves. Her dancers had similar looks: they were wearing outfits custom made by The Blonds for Charli's shows, black catsuits, with wavy blue fur details. The outfits really looked amazingly beautiful.
Her performance started by showing Charli sitting on a sort of pink throne, her dancers were all around her. Charli started singing immediately when the music started unlike other 'Tokyo Lights' performances where she had a small instrumental intro. She performed the new Sony version of the song, it was the first time it was performed live. The crowd recognizing the song they had been seeing those last few days on Sony commercials on TV cheered slightly. The song was slow at first, this version of the song being a little bit more about the vocals and futuristic electronic instrumental. The dancers were still all around Charli's throne, doing some small graceful moves.
The crowd started really cheering when Charli started the chorus which was powerful and energetic. Charli impressed the crowd with her impressive vocals, which fit perfectly the electronic instrumental. This more ballad-esque version of the song also was showing off Charli's vocals. While her dancers did a more slowed down version of the choreography Charli was pretty energetic. The highlights of the performance, besides Charli's vocals, was also when Charli was near the end and the original version started and Charli sang regularly while the throne was 'lighting up'. She also ended the performance with a remix of the song playing and Charli finishing the choreography with the dancers before posing fiercely.
