So many stans attempt to be revisionist historians especially when it comes to Britney yet you can count more pop stars that have at minimum shown influence or inspiration from the highlights of Britney's career.
I honestly think that the more people see Britney happy and spending time with her boys which she DOES have custody and not caring about promoting and still being relevant even in her laziness...the more it bothers them that their faves have to do so much more and are not ranked as the 6th best selling female of all time which is tangible. Even with intangible things such as influence, impact etc. Britney is embedded into pop culture whether they like it or not.
The scary thing is that I really believe some are infuriated that she came out of her dark era with money love and happiness. Seeing some of these posts make me believe that some would have actually been happy to see her...well, see that 2008 tacky stunt AP did writing her obituary come to fruition.
Britney rebelled against everything that people said were the only reasons she had a career and still has a career and makes a million a week with her products and concerts.
It's not easy to constantly have this relevant pop legend so permeated in pop culture that a week doesn't go by without her name being mentioned.
Glad I joined team britney and not team anti britney...it's more peaceful, euphoric and 'awesome/cool' on this side
