not exactly.
VMA's nomination and win done by their committee mostly, while Gramnmys are huge voting with like 11k memebers.
Grammy have committee too but they only can choose final nominations based on member's vote.
and their song category are pretty much about singles, the hit singles. so album tracks has zero chance. who will vote for them against big hit songs that has huge exposure from radio to tv?
most voter don't even listen to nominations.
her biggest chance is formation as it had huge impact and exposure and respect. but then as it is very 'urban' and political it won't get much votes I think. I don't see more than nomination. same goes to album.
it's quite simple logic, voters are pretty much diverse in terms of genres. Country and Rock voters won't vote for beyonce. R&B and Hiphop voters won't vote for country. things like this..
not to mention pop/mainstream genre music is always competitive. also Beyonce's music(singles) and her image become very urban with success in mostly urban, rhythmic field.
she just doesn't have wide demographic in all the different genre.
I mean self title prove that.. she was like 4th in vote and lose urban voters to pharrell.
next year grammy will be very much same.
adele who has overall wide demo from different genre with great image as vocalist and called 'real serious music' or respected rock artist like david bowie or radiohead will get the AOTY.
