The end of April seems like a good time to release Judas.

I actually heard Bad Romance today while working out.


I think the Judas release date is pretty good. If she holds off too long it would be harder to maintain interest and I think the general public needs to hear something different from her other than Born This Way, just to showcase the multidimensional aspect of the album. She will also get a chance to really smash in the UK too before the album drops.

I don't necessarily think Judas being released on the 19th will affect sales of Born This Way negatively. It does kind of sadden me how they let the focus kind of drop away from Born This Way with no additional publicity at all, though. I realize they might be saving up all the big weapons for Judas leading into the album, but they could have at least kept the public up to date, released the Country Road Version and gave some details about the acoustic and second video (assuming they're still doing them), just to keep it fresh in everyone's minds. Clearly airplay is falling quickly, so they should set some nice blocks in place for long-terms sales of Born This Way, even in the presence of other singles, before they release Judas.

If she keeps with the level of promo she has now, there won't be that much overexposure which is a nice balance.

Gaga sang about dancing and love for the first two albums. She's a star now and she can sing about whatever she wants.
