I'm gonna perched for Rih's interviews this era regarding the making of this album because it's absolutely ridiculous. If the album was never meant for 2015, then why did she unveil the album title & cover inOctober?! So annoying. No one needed any of that so early with no explanation.

I think this was more about press/PR/hype. Same thing with the BBHMM video premiere event. The tide was already turning for this campaign, image wise, before the video dropped. Websites were already starting to complain about stuff seeming disoriented. I believe part of the point of the BBHMM event was to correct that. That's probably why the video was delayed -- so they could plan the event properly. They needed to change the narrative, so they did that event and invited the press. But after that, I'm guessing the plans got derailed again, and then they did the album cover gallery thing, probably with the intention of kicking things into full gear right after that. But, again, something changed behind the scenes.

I've never liked Roc Nation. I mean they did **** up Kylie's and Shakira's last albums. Plus, Rita was struggling to release her debut in the USA.

Ugh, and they now ruined my fave's most creative era. Can she bounce back in 2016 after this madness of a year?

IDk maybe it's just me being optimistic but I don't get the sense that this album is gonna flop. Lord knows this era has been messy as hell but this is as much interest as I've ever seen people have in a Rihanna album. If she does some actual promo the week or 2 leading up to the album release, I think she'll pull in her usual numbers and I'm pretty confident that there will be songs on the album that radio latches onto if she doesn't release a single before the album drops.

This is the problem. The album can still do very well if properly promoted, but there's nothing to suggest she'll do that. Good thing she has her Samsung money.

Also, I've mentioned this briefly, but if Rih will always work on albums until the last minute, how can we claim surprise when she's spotted in the studio? With every delay, regardless of reason, she might record new songs and tweak old ones. I personally don't get it, but it's not out-of-character.

I genuinely think it was supposed to come in Q4, but for whatever reason (Adele? Needed more songs? Super Bowl performance? New ad campaign with Samsung?) they pushed it back. They announced the tour because she needs the time to sell tickets. And with that extra time, Rih goes back to the studio again and again trying to make an album she's satisfied with (which is impossible for an indecisive perfectionist like herself).

It's so mind boggling!! Like how can such a huge/successful company manage such a terrible campaign...like there is no rhyme or reason to the AntiDiary. The execution is just bad! Sad cause the visuals are stunning and it could have really been amazing...
