Ok - so people saying she's releasing "Judas" too early.

1) It's a meaningful time to release the song - will create lots of controversy. Controversy = sales (of both songs, too).

2) She has an absurd amount of promo coming up; during many of these promo events, she'll be playing BTW + Judas - sales of both songs.

3) She needs to sell albums - there's no doubt about that; and chart success is great. But when it all comes down to it, the most important thing in all of this is the music.

Basically, I want everybody and their mother to have heard Judas by the time the album comes out. I'm sure it'll have a great start on radio, but there's really no way it can have the type of momentum that BTW did right out the gate (and in a way that's good, because being a slow burner pays off with longevity).

Wouldn't it sort of defeat the purpose of releasing "Judas" on the same night as the Glee episode? If she releases Judas: all the attention is going to be on Judas, not on BTW.

And most of the Gleeks will end up buying the Glee Cast version of BTW anyway...

By the way, Paparazzi was still gaining on radio when Bad Romance was released (and in fact ended up peaking at #1 in airplay). The two situations aren't really comparable.

I mean.... It obviously isnt doing as well as her 3 Powerhouse singles. But thats because it did so much right out of the gate that it had to slow down. None of those 3 singles even had half of the Hype that Born This Way did.

Anyways im over this fight, Born This Way is speaking for itself and Gaga will announce the Judas release date in a day at the latest so no point fighting about info that hasnt even been confirmed.
