They already picked it up for Season 2 apparently, but I knew the judging panel was gonna ruin the show from before it even aired.

Replace the girls with Mariah and Whitney in season 2 and Simon will finally get those 20 million viewers he wanted.

I'm glad Cherly Cole wasn't there TBH, I don't see the big deal about her.

IMO, Nicole and Paula are too similar. I say get rid of Paula. I love Paula but she hasn't added anything to the show. At least Nicole has brought controversy and press to the show.

Bring in Mariah.

American Idol wasn't that popular it's first season, but look how much it's boomed (sans the decline in viewership the last couple of season). I'm sure this will pick up next season. I agree about the judges though. BOOT Paula please. Nicole is Paula-lite with some of the commentary. "your soul transcends the universe". I agree with previous posts, I wish the judges would give REAL criticism instead of getting their digs in so they can further themselves and their mentorees in order to be the winning "mentor"
