And I understand that Formation is a polarizing song, but that has nothing to do with my post above...Regardless of whether or not the songs were fiction, it sparked a lot of conversation about their relationship so I suggested that some fans might see a collab album with Jay Z as opportunistic especially after an album like Lemonade...

except we've been hearing hints about this joint album since like 2014. i can understand fears that it'll cut short the Lemonade era (if we can even call it that), but I can't understand people questioning the quality of the music
unless maybe jay z's music just isn't your cup of tea, it's a bit of a reach to turn yourself off from the project because you fear for the quality. hasn't bey proven already that she knows what she's doing? it's like those hive members that were whining about her possibly moving to trap and what not, yet Lemonade said otherwise
if she's going through with this, it is because she wants to. her being Jay's wife doesn't mean that she is his pawn and she certainly woulnd't let him "leach" off her (if that were the case) if she didn't want to.
and just an FYI: jay's retired. his recent music forays have been fun projects, so enough with all this leaching business. collaboration isn't a crime especially after you've already proven your worth
