Yeah that's my main issue with the joint album. If they weren't so overexposed in 2014/2015 with the MET Gala, divorce rumours 24/7, joint tour, movie trailer etc. then maybe I would be more inclined to the idea.

But it just bugs me that Jay really is a leech. He hasn't done hardly anything on his own since MCHG. Like, release your own album, do your own tour

Also by over-saturating the amount of collabs they have it kinda tarnishes the legacy and the specialness of their earlier ones imo.

Don't get me wrong I'll still support it and buy it, it's just if I had it my way it wouldn't come out. Not now at least.

Do you think the joint album coming out later in the year will hurt Lemonades Grammy chances? I know it's not eligible but if there is any kind of backlash or it could take the shine away from Lemonade?

No. If they put out great album , it'll only help her. as there will be lots of press connecting it to lemonade.

and even If the album is not great...
the reality is beyonce won't promote it. so there're already no big chance for lemonade on grammy.
it'll get some R&B awards.

It probably will. It takes away from the authenticity of Lemonade as far as am concerned. I fear another 2014 level of overexposure considering the media will analyse every single lyric from the album. I just don't understand why the Jayhive are mad that some of us don't want the album. We are allowed to not like everything Beyonce does.

Only good thing that comes of this is more Bey music and hopefully she serves vocals. But I really dont want an entire album of them together on each song. Something like SpeakerBoxx/Love Below would be better. That way I don't have to hear about Dusse in every song.

Why weren't the 6 Inch verses longer? Everytime Abel and Bey do theirs I keep thinking they're gonna go the **** off on another verse but then Bey just ****s over the song with that slow underwhelming "6 inch heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeels, she walked in the club like nobody's business (available with Unapologetic on iTunes NOW!!!)" and it's just so disappointing cause the main beat is so good but so short like come one, 2 lines can now be considered a verse? exactly....all the bitching & whining is cringeworthy

personally....i am looking forward to the idea as pretty much every song they've done together has been 4-5 stars. the album is bound to have some other classic Bey-Jay songs. i could see if their songs always sucked but they do not.

ya'll keep having dreams that beyonce is going to do this Lemonade promo tour of appearing on every show & this album will interfere with it. she's not doing ****. there are chances of the VMAs & the Grammy's next year and that is IT. might as well have 10-12 new songs to add if there's not going to be any other content coming from this era before we wait another 2-3 years & you all will really go nuts then.

First of all, I barely come on ATRL like that to defend Beyoncé every time she pisses people off...

And I understand that Formation is a polarizing song, but that has nothing to do with my post above...Regardless of whether or not the songs were fiction, it sparked a lot of conversation about their relationship so I suggested that some fans might see a collab album with Jay Z as opportunistic especially after an album like Lemonade...
