Sigh, here we go again.

Rise flopped because Katy decided to use it to promote Hillary and NBC wanted nothing to do with the song at the point since it would have alienated many people. Spotify sabotaged it as well due to it being an Apple Music exclusive in its first week of release.

Literally common knowledge. Only the OKHs continue to act like this isn't fact. It wasn't even secret, it literally happened right in front of our eyes lol.

After Rise Katy's been off and on in the studio writing for the new album but she invested a lot more time into the presidential campaign and supporting Hillary.
|
Again, this is pretty obvious from everything she's been tweeting + the amount of time she's been with Hillary in the media throughout 2016.

In fact, she was actually banking on Hillary's win in order to give herself a new platform to be the nation's true pop star and to leverage promotion for the new album, but then Trump won and Katy's plans for the new era were ruined and now she's rewriting the campaign from scratch.
|
lol no. What "new platform" would Hillary winning the presidency provide for Katy to help her music smash. This is the dumbest stan-invented thing ever.

Katy says she writes songs based on what the world needs. In fact, she has recently thrown out over half of what she's written for the new album (which was leaning towards trap, house, and disco) and started writing more empowering songs (in the realm of Rise) for the state of the world under a Trump presidency.
|
Extremely believable which makes me extremely skeptical. Literally anyone who keeps up with the fanbase could list a few genres they know the fans want (trap, house, disco) and suggest she's "scrapped" these songs to focus on a sound she's already been established to have tried (Rise), which makes a completely made up statement sound so legitimate plausible.

Due to this and the fact that Taylor is coming back, Katy plans to release her fourth record in the fourth quarter of 2017, with the lead single coming in August similar to Roar.
|
Once again, complete afterthought BS. We know nothing about Taylor, she just released a soundtrack single, which if anything implies the new album isn't close otherwise she wouldn't risk ruining her 'comeback' hype. Mimicking a past release pattern (PRISM) is such a lazy stan'd thing to suggest, Katy's never repeated a release pattern.
The album will definitely be here by mid-2017.
