I basically ONLY played Captain Toad on it. Also played healthy chunks of SM 3D World and MK8 on it too. That all stopped when I got XCX though; never once even tried to play that on the gamepad.

I kind of hate this transitional phase. I've been wanting to get a 3DS since I'm terribly behind on handheld games (my last handheld was the original clunky DS), but I want to see what happens w/ the NX before purchasing one...

You can literally get a 2DS for super cheap and the 3DS has numerous flawless games so it's worth a purchase irregardless of what the NX is. And I doubt the NX will be able to play 3DS games so you'll be missing out on the Pokemon games, Fire Emblem etc. of this generation

I actually think that the next game will talk about what happens next with Shulk. I strongly believe that Mira is this new world.

I played it for like a week, and bought a **** ton of cards but I haven't touched the thing in ages. Will probably sell it on eBay along with my OG 3DS.

ACNL was amazing though! It totally took over my summer when it came out.

1) Don't be delusional in thinking that Nintendo would launch new hardware without some kind of third party support... 2) Don't underestimate the appeal of third party support. Monster Hunter, Bravely Default, and Dragon Quest add extra value to 3DS library 3) Another thing that gets lost here. EA doesn't "hate" Nintendo. They just didn't like Wii U. At all. They released THREE Fifa games on 3DS
