You can't say your opinion is superior to anyone else's, when that isn't true. I never question anyone's taste or opinion because it's not MINE.

Maybe someone prefer's Still l Rise to Automatic. Is their opinion wrong? Is it invalid?

If you had put Automatic against IBP, IBP would win by a landslide.

When it comes to music quality, it's all subjective, and even so, in a specific discussion about that sales are automatically irrelevant. It's all about pure critical acclaim, which is also subjective.

And what makes a niche critic less valuable than a mainstream critic?

I care about a few publication's opinion's when it comes to Tanya, and the most important one is The Source.
