I really loved the intro the "welcome to the artrave" *good music plays* and then she rises from the stage. It was kinda stupid IMO to start the show with ARTPOP but I get her reasoning. Then GUY played I believe and that was the **** cause GUY is a bop. Then Donatella played and I'm trying to block it out of my memory cause that song is  Then Venus played  It was so ****ing cool to see the "V" being thrown up everywhere ugh venus is such a good song. At this point I was pretty impressed she was engaged with the audience, they were loving her the only real issues was the stage looked really unimpressive in life it almost looked like it was paper mache but oh well. She did some speech about equality or w/e then played MANiCURE and she kinda lost me. Then did her old hits the computer voice said "now playing just dance" and everyone went wild, then Poker Face and then Telephone. Her dancers were wearing these things on their backs and my sister and I couldn't stop laughing. Then Partynauseous came on and wow what a BOP my sister loved it and said "who made this Gaga should make songs like this" Then that black balloon octopus dress came out and she performed Paparazzi kind of a bore. Then DWUW she sat in the monster claw and got lifted in the air, I heard so many people sing along ugh truly the hit that got away. Then another speech then she sang BTW and at this point I was getting kinda bored and then we JND starting playing and that awful green wig came out (all the wigs have been awful except the Venus one) and she sang Aura and eh. Then she read a letter from a lesbian named Kristen and invited her backstage or something it was cute. Yeah pretty much at this point my sister and I were bored and just didn't want to be there anymore she asked me if we could leave so we stuck it out until 10:30 right before she started singing Applause.
All in all:
the setlist is tragic
the stage is okay
the costumes/wigs are tragic
the music is tragic (some not all)
but she did try but much like the album its just one giant mess that doesn't go anywhere and seemed to be thrown together.
What I would do to see the BTWB instead of this I hope that beast who tried to start **** with us has a nasty hangover
So don't crucify me it could have been worse but it could have been so much better I was really expecting to maybe like the songs cause she does put on a good show but no sadly. I did go into it expecting the best and open minded but oh well |
Glad you had some fun despite your thoughts Jay, I'm sure it would have been a little bit better for you if you hadn't been rudely heckled early on.
