I LOVE YOU EVERYDAY DON'T GET AWAY TAKE ME AWAY
'I Love You' still hasn't gotten old and I am still discovering new things about it. In that last 30 seconds where it tears it up, have you ever noticed that the instrumental plays a little mind game on you? Like that sound that burst out at around 3:29, but doesn't come back up where you'd expect it? It's so strange, 3:31 where you'd expect it?
The best way that I can describe it is with this graph. You expect it to come back up in the same time that it went down:
But it does not. It doesn't come back up until a few moments after, and even then it doesn't quite peak where you'd expect it but a bit before it's highest point when it went down. I don't know the musical terminology of it all but it sounds incredible.
It's like it doesn't come back up until X = 0~1 when it goes down, and then doesn't reach 1.0 on the vertical axis like it was at when it went down. Please understand, i'm trying my best to explain what I mean.
What element of I Love You has your tongue tied in knots?
