You, Tinker and all the other Aggie deluded stans can keep dreaming. But make sure you don't wake up to see what's really gonna happen if Britney ends up releasing anything close to Christina.

Just compare their recent chart performances and digital sales since download sales counted towards the charts:
Ain't No Other Man: #6 , 1.2M sales
Hurt: #19, 500k sales
Candyman: #25 600k sales
KGB: #7 (1 week in the top 10, WITH hype and promo too ) 800k Sales
Gimme More: #3, 1.3M sales
Piece of Me: #19, 1.3 M sales
Womanizer: #1, 2.8M sales
Circus: #3, 2.6M sales
3: #1 (with NO promo and NO hype- 11 weeks in the top ten) 1.57M and STILL selling (I predict 2M when it's all said and done)
Well, I think it's obvious who is going to be doing the owning on the charts between these two. Let's just say the Britney haters will end up with egg on their faces.
ANYWAY
There are rumours that Britney went into the recording studio today to do some more recording. I hope it's more epic than Blackout. She's the underdog right now but I feel many are underestimating her power. So much owning is going to occur in 2010.

her power? hmm..well i just hope she puts some of her own craft into this then i will respect the effort..(write/produce/mix) but i guess im dellusional to ask for so much.. at least writing and better dance moves... that would be an improvement.

She needs to work with Bloodshy and Avant again. Britney always works with a few up and coming producers on her album so I cannot wait to see a full list of who she's working with, and not just rumours. I think 80% of the album news we've gotten so far are rumours.

As you've probably heard by now, there's a fairly good chance that, come March, we'll have a new Britney Spears single on our airwaves. Not much is known about the song, except that it's apparently produced by current "It" guy David Guetta (perhaps you've heard "I Gotta Feeling," the ultra-ubiquitous song he did for the Black Eyed Peas).
There's reportedly also an album due this summer, featuring work by Darkchild and 21-year-old producer/musician Jon Asher, who recently told the New York Post that it will be "Epic … music that has meaning. Something that truly moves you."
Sounds epic indeed. So while Spears' label, Jive Records, told MTV News that they "cannot confirm" anything, we here in the Newsroom figured that it's never too early to begin rampant speculation about Brit Brit's new project. Which is why we've complied a wish list of artists and producers we can only dream she'd collaborate with. Because, if we can't dream, what can we do?
Lady Gaga
Imagine the possibilities of a Britney/Gaga duet. The sparkles. The studded leather hoods. The strangeness of it all. In all seriousness, the idea of pop music's two biggest names (aside from, you know, Madonna) getting together on a track makes our head spin … you'd be hard-pressed to come up with a bigger collaboration all year. Sort of like "Swagger Like Us," only flossier. And gay-friendly.
Beyoncé
Okay, so maybe this one would top it. If the Queen B and Miss Brit got together on a track, the Diva-tude would be off the charts. Who sings lead? Who gets to wear the "Single Ladies" glove? The video alone would be bananas: A Day-glo fashion explosion, only with more hip-popping. Please make this happen.
Miley Cyrus
This would probably never happen, especially since Miley has never even heard a Jay-Z song, but both have covered Joan Jett's "I Love Rock 'n' Roll," so perhaps they could find common ground on another super-raspy tune. Maybe something from the Bonnie Raitt catalog?
Stuart Price
Who? Why, only one of the most sought-after and respected producers in the biz. Price — who's made excellent albums under the guises of Les Rhythmes Digitales and Zoot Woman — has worked with the likes of Madonna and the Killers, and (as Jacques Lu Cont) he's even remixed a track for Spears ("Breathe On Me"). We'd love to see him give her the full treatment. Imagine an album of Britney cooing over Price's near-patented galloping '80s basslines.
John Hill and that dude from the Bravery
We knew Hill had the goods (his work on Santigold's 2008 album proved that), but who knew Sam Endicott had it in him? The pair were responsible for the two best songs on Shakira's She Wolf album (the title track and the galactic "Men in This Town,") and he's also been working on Christina Aguilera's new LP. We'd like to think their Italo-boogie would fit nicely with the 2010 version of Britney, too.
Steve Albini/Dave Fridmann/Insert name of favorite "indie" producer here
This would never happen, though the idea of Albini getting super mad when Britney's people insist she wants to record the album digitally makes us cackle slightly.

Except Britney's input into her music is underestimated. She wrote a ton of songs for her 'Circus' album, but many of them were not used, and before you say because they weren't good enough, Britney is capable of writing a good song. She co-wrote 7/12 of the songs on ITZ and came up with the melody for 'Everytime'.
I don't know much of Britney's plans for this album, but apparently she plans on writing most of the songs from this new album (accoring to the Popjustice forums)
Now Britney has control over this new record (no Larry in sight), we're just going to have to wait and see.

So much for staying shacked up at the Mondrian Hotel all alone with her assistant Brett!
Britney Spears started off her day around 11 a.m., first stopping by a music studio on Wilshire - where she was working on her latest album! So excited for that, natch. Then our girl was dropped off in Bev Hills for a little retail therapy...
Our photogs on the scene say that Brit "seemed relieved to get out of the house," or in this case, her hotel!, and that she "appeared to be in better spirits than in recent days."
Then Britney stopped at Pottery Barn for some moderately priced home furnishings and afterward, headed to the Chateau Marmont around 2:45 pm.
Jason Trawick was there waiting for her. So it looks like the twosome are at least on friendly terms. Maybe their rough patch is smoothed over temporarily?
The two just left the hotel together in the same car -- Brit's bodyguard driving Jason's car and Jason chauffeuring Britney in her car. They stopped at Jason's house to pick up what appeared to be an overnight bag for him and then headed to Britney's house!
What does all of this mean ... Are these two back together? Are they just friends? Just business associates? Business associates spending the night together???!!!
Only time will tell!

By the way, after 13 weeks on the United World Charts, '3' is still sticking around at #14 on the charts. All with no promo:

Some peoples fav's peak at #14 with their single from their GH album, which was promoted too.

The ones that she probably semi-wrote were not used for a reason as most of her songs from previous albums that she has had input on. Circus overall wasnt a revolutionary album.. if anything, her least successful album (blackout) is probably her strongest effort in production.

Anybody who's not biased knows Britney write songs. She's just not like 99% of the singers out there, who demand to *only* use their 'own' songs - well, sometimes they just pay for some writing credits - in order to get more money from royalties and stuff. Britney is not like that, because she wants what's BEST on her album, it doesn't matter if she wrote it or not.

Sitting in a chair, drawing stick figures with her crayons is not considered writing, sorry.

OMG, so you live with Britney? Or are you a producer? Cause that's the only way you could know what she does when she writes music.
Since you DON'T, well, FAIL.
