I say yes, to the blogs merging to the lounge because the blog section is not that active, not alot of members go there & if the blogs go to the lounge it will draw more people in, however I think that the blogs should be a sub section though, because if you just merge all the blogs in the Lounge, then we will have bunch of threads, it would be kinda confusing, that's just my personal opinion, but the lounge would be more interesting because there will be more activity there, you should also put the live chat somewhere in the lounge as well.

& for the NHB thread, that should have it's own sub section too, I mean that thread is a mess now, people are talking about Britney & Christina in there i think that it would be interesting for us members to create are own threads to let are fustrations out instead just one big thread.

& TC if you planning to create a brand new section, my suggestions are:

Video Games
Health & Fitness
New Members ( to introduce themselves)
Promote Your Stuff ( An opportunity for us to promote anything like are youtube channel, Twitter,Myspace,Facebook ect
Upcoming Events, (what to look froward too on ATRL)

Personally I think having an advertising section would be the best, it will draw more people in & it's another way to get to know each better, I mean sure you can promote your Twitter, Myspace,Facebook pages in our blogs but eventually later on people want to update their blogs & talk about something else & people won't look at your previous blog posts, same with the sig, not many people click on your link, eventaully later on people like to change up their sig. Having a section for that would great because it's their permanently it has own thread, & we can have an official myspace, facebook, Twitter threads & we can post eachother's links. & some other stuff people want to advertise like another website people want to check out or you own personal website.

I think allowing the official threads in Music News will help. There used to be a LOT more discussions going on there because if you ever found even a tiny bit of news you could just post it in the thread and people would discuss it. I was against bringing them back before because I thought those artist groups things would get off the ground. , but now there isn't a place to discuss little bits of news because it's not "worthy" of being its own topic.


I really don't think the problem is the lounge/blogs. ATRL is a MUSIC site. If we have more active MUSIC topics people will stay longer and the site and go around to the lounge and blogs more, but since there's barely ever any active discussions people leave.

In a way, official threads still alive, the only difference is that they expire after 30 days. The music forum is fine.

Didn't we do the expire thing because the server couldn't take? Aren't we getting a new one? I say we go back to how it was because ATRL is seriously fading. In theory there is no difference, but I'm sure if you looked at the number of posts inside the official threads compared to the combined # of posts from these expiring topics there would be a huge difference.

The 30-day threads are just fine. They get tons of activity, and their thread titles are actually relevant (as compared to a title such as "Official Ciara Thread" which tells you nothing). Everything about that is fine.

This is about The Lounge and Blogs; we don't need to drag Music News back into it.

How is the number of posts in a thread making ATRL fade? Explain because I'm not getting where you're going with that.

IMO, those sound like something that would be discussed in The Lounge/Blogs. The plan is to merge sections together to improve activity. Making any of those sections would do the opposite.

I don't know lol Wasn't there more members posting back then? I think some people don't like making new threads themselves and don't want to post unrelated info in one of those expiring threads. Also if I remember correctly there was a poll before the music news section changed and a huge percentage was against it. Maybe they don't like the new change and just browse now? People used to talk about Britney all day long, why did they stop now? Same goes for other artists.

I had the same concern as NickLacheyFan but you are right, people can still register and read all the "private" things. With that said, I say go merge, go!

Oh, I like the idea of having a thread for each personal topic with a prefix of it's own.
I also like JT's idea of maybe having a sub-section for celebrity fights? I believe you had a similar idea, and if we could do something about the whole personal vs. opinion on celebrity fights, that might make it more lively too! Not necessarily a NHB prefix but... I don't know where I am going with this.

i agree here.... but at the same time.... no i lovethe blogs the way they are..... blogs are my fav part of ATRL I like them the way they are. Just include some Post count there and it would be even greater
