And Beyonce's opening choreography was fire, however, the rest of it was weak.

It had some good visual moments, but otherwise it was boring and didn't make sense in parts. It tried TOO HARD to be edgy instead of just being natural. That video was NOT Beyonce.

The only thing the video was missing was a storyline. It didn't have one, which is only a problem because it feels like a video that should have a storyline. As it is, it would be much better as just a dance video, since that's what the video primarily consists of, and in that case, I feel like some scenes were unnecessary, like any scene without dancing. And all the guys as well. They had no purpose for being there. It was a waste.

The video still slays. It just needed (1) a storyline, or (2) to be just a dance video.

Right? That extended wide shot of her and the boys is the best part of the video. THE BEST. There's no one else in the pop world who can captivate in an extended shot.
