I just think Madonna is at a place right now....where she WANTS to do carefree music. What's the point of having meaty songs when you don't have the life experiences to pull from and deliver mature songs with some gusto.
I mean, her daughters are teenagers -- she's practically dating a teenager....Madonna's life is probably very young-oriented right now, so she probably wants to do this type of music.

I completely agree. I love her records like Ray of Light and Bedtime Stories..hell even Confessions...but do you honestly think all she wants to do is sit around and make records like Ray of Light EVERY time?
She just got done filming a very serious film for three years...and was still dealing with divorce at the beginning of it.
Mix that with the fact that her biggest comparison Gaga has been trying to do """serious""" pop, I really just don't think she was in the mood to create that kind of record.
I just think Madonna's legacy is already established...She doesn't need to prove more as an artist
To think, her influence is Pop Culture is grandiose as it is, at this point, she could release what she want hence, "GMAYL" is there...
But aside, I hope there's more "Masterpiece" sounding tracks on the album

Agree with this. She just wants herself and her fans to have fun (fun fun think about fun, you know what it is! -legendary song), but that damages the quality of the music. She doesn't have the need to prove herself, which should actually be the opposite: otherwise she will end up touring without being able to sell albums decently, like Prince or Celine Dion.
I'm not saying Confessions or Hard Candy are bad albums, they were "fun" and "ok" and "the Madonna who wants to keep up with the youngsters". Nothing less but also nothing more. And for the third album in a row bringing the same type of things, i just need the more i got in the past ... She was more than this GMAYL type of songs.

How was Confessions trying to keep up with youngsters?
I didn't know all the youngsters were into house/nu-disco in 2005. Also it's a very mature Dance album...
Hard Candy is a bit different. I actually don't see MDNA being similar to anything in HC at all, she seems to be doing what she wants.
Though Ray of Light is ultimately my favorite album (by Madonna, and my favorite album ever; first one I ever bought), Confessions plays a close second in my amazing. It's not trying hard to fit with the youngsters; how many people do music (or did in 2005?) like that, really? Not very many. It remains one of her best albums to date.
There is a spoken word introduction. Best song on earth.

Filming rapped last night and let's just say you will not be disapointed. Lots of black and white glamour with M holding a cig, plus some bondage chic. U are gonna go crazy over this!

Keep the interview shoot as your point of reference.
The spoken word intro with M smoking her cig is a nod to Vogue and it is indeed everything!
Lots of half naked guys in the video as well!
Quote:
Some color effects that I can not describe cause I don't want to spoil the mystique and suprise. But TRUST this video will have you bowing at the queen's throne. What a moment...

And the report of the spoken word/prayer intro is true. But that's all for now till release!
It will also restore the faith of the fans who were displeased with "Give Me All Your Luvin."

Can't say when the video or song will be released but like you I think it will be released near album release or sooner than that.
