Additional Chart Notes
American chiptune band Anamanaguchi carries its first charting single to the top of the chart. The success of "Endless Fantasy" is unique in that it does not stem from success on a radio format, but from my own personal discovery. Other acts that have seen this kind of achievement include Blessthefall, whose "Hey Baby, Here's That Song You Wanted" also hit number one. However, whereas Blessthefall debuted there, Anamanaguchi took its time to climb up the chart, which is an achievement all in its own.
Miley Cyrus is the true Greatest Gainer of the week, despite an error in the chart's display that shows otherwise. "Wrecking Ball" slams into the top ten just as "We Can't Stop" goes recurrent. The song becomes Miley's fifth top ten (the other three hits being "The Climb" (#3, 2009) "Party In The USA" (#1, 2009) and "Can't Be Tamed" (#10, 2010).
"Counting Stars" also climbs into the top ten, making it OneRepublic's fifth top ten on the chart. Other hits have been the Timbaland remix of "Apologize" (#1, 2008), "Stop And Stare" (#6, 2008), "Good Life" (#2, 2011), and the Alesso remix of "If I Lose Myself," which peaked at #5 earlier this year.
