So now Billboard isn't a reliable source?? Or is that only when they report good numbers for Katy? Regardless of certain people's desperate reaching, it is an indisputable fact that Katy is slaying and has grown exponentially from the CDT

There could be just many more options for the $165.5 than before.

This is what I'm thinking. There are a **** ton of seats for the highest tier. It's not just GA. I think all the floor and the whole lower bowl is the top tier.
Aren't merch prices also included in tour gross? I know her merch is extremely overpriced.
With those two factors, a 147 average doesn't seem too off tbh.

Ya'll just can't admit that Katy is destroying in singles, albums and tours. These are amazing numbers (and it's even better that her lowest among US dates is only $1.4m.) Ya'll need to get off your high horses. Ya'll have no proof that Billboard numbers are wrong (except from completely pressed accusations which ya'll threw at the first US dates too). If Billboard is wrong, they'll correct them later. Did they do it for the first set? No. It's unlikely they'll do it for the second then.
You also have NO confirmation whatsoever that they are either including the VIP Packages, or that they don't do it for anyone else. If you cannot accept Katy's numbers, then you better not front any other numbers for any other artist as receipts. You cannot pick and choose. Billboard is either reliable or unreliable. Make your choice and deal with it.
I'm so happy she's slaying.

I agree 100%. One second billboard is reliable and final, but the next they suddenly are unreliable and make mistakes! If that's the case then none of these pop girl stans can brag about their faves being touring artists since we're getting our information from "unreliable" sources.
And there are some genuinely pressed people in here, but don't attack the OP guys. He's definitely not trying to attack Katy, and while yes constantly stirring up the "something is off" speculation is annoying, it's not done out of spite so tone it down to the OP lol

No,her first show in China for a comerical concert proved that China is such a huge stan.I think she can have more than three shows in China this time and each gross may like Taylor's gross in Shanghai.

The floor, half of the seats are high ticket price category.
Ticket prices in big cities like New York, London,... are higher than the other cities in the same country.

In order to gross $2,047,284 from 13,846 people, the average ticket price would have had to have been $147.86, but her average price was $90.25 according to the numbers given. These numbers are basically saying that every ticket sold was sold at $147.86 or higher... which simply isn't the case when the numbers say there were tickets for sale as low as $30 with $147.86 being on the higher end (closer to the stage, GA).

There is something not visible on the seating charts with ticket prices on it. Inspired by some blogs about Katy's tour rider having a scalping-her-own-tickets-clause.
She takes large portions of her tickets and put it in VIP packages.
- RS (GA PIT) $150.50 can be inflated to $ 299
- top tier floor seat $150.50 to $ 499
- top tier Reserved seat $150.50 to $ 340
- Second Price Reserved seat $90.50 to $ 199
- Third Price Reserved Seat $46 to $ 149
Large portions means reduced supply and those who can afford it, can get a ticket by buying VIP packages.
If there are unsold VIP packages, she just takes the tickets out of the package and put them back on general sale in last week before the show.
Looking at the average ticket price in comparison to price categories, her VIP packages are selling well.
