I played BW and loved them, they're easily my 2nd fav pair of games, only behind HGSS. But like, I think it's that I always felt that making a "sequel" pair was pointless since the 3rd game usually is a sequel. So them making those games, and then skipping out on making a proper 3rd game and the RSE remakes, and then making Gen VI with only 70 new pokémon and a bunch of mega evolutions that I could care less about barely 3 years after Gen V even started, kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

Well this was like a real sequel not a rehearse like regular 3rd installments. You got a story post what happened in BW, movement in gyms with the inclusion of 2 new ones. Cute new cities, and other things. You should play them. I don't think you'll regret it.

I'd be iffy if you didn't like anything from Gen V, but since you love BW there's no problem.

As much as the stans try to tell us the B2W2 are amazing and top tier and saved the Gen, I thought the original BW was better.

I loved BW because it really forced me to use new pokemon on my team. As much as I love all the other games more, no matter the gen, i always end up using the same dozen or so pokemon from gen 1/2/ 3 in all the games..

What kind of foolishness is this? The third game prior to BW2 was NEVER a sequel it was a rehash with some features added, and minor plot details changed from the original set. BW2 did us the FAVOR of mixing it up and changing the storyline completely, building on what the first set started. Like a mini Kanto to Johto jump except it's still the same land. A Pokemon "grey" in theory would have only made Kyurem BW1 Team Plasma's main point of interest instead of the Black/White Chicken Dragons.
