I think that was just to showcase their "talent" in full. I'm sure the ones who picked vocal and rap are doing minimal choreo as not to take away from their vocals/raps.

The problem with Shin is that she is not very good at something, like Chungha at dancing or Juna at singing for example. Overall she is just good at singing, dancing and rapping and in a performence where she should showcase only one of it, she kinda lacks. She still served visuals, though.

Honestly, all I see is a little Krystal in Dani. Maybe it's because they're both Californian-Koreans or their similar nose bridges or something, but she's like visually-appealing and only lacks in the vocal department. Is that actually a problem in K-Pop?

No, lacking in strong vocals is never an issue. My problem with her is that she does not stand out at all, and you can see that clearly in those fancams (though...who wouldn't get overshadowed performing next to Chungha & Somi ? Even Yoojung & Doyeon were struggling to stand out, but both are prettier than Dani, seaux...)
