I was thinking this the other day. The idea of her releasing a new album feels so strange now .

I read recently that the longest Madonna took to record an album was 4 months, and that was for Ray of Light (which was released 4 years after BS) which she made during/after a massive movie project and the birth of her first child. Let's be real, Katy is no where near Lady Gaga territory in terms of the GP and young people. I think her lead, if uptempo, will do well. I think it can be any type of uptempo and it won't matter. She'll get the promo. I just hope she knows what's she's doing and is a little self-aware of the situation. She needs to smash. She cannot accept a moderate hit.

She spent like the first half of this year going to random weddings and on vacations with Orlando and only really started buckling down recently. It's kind of crazy to wait basically three entire years to even start seriously getting into the studio.

I really think she started recording music earlier this year or last year that's why we got Witness. And maybe she scrapped those songs and delayed the release to record new songs.

Geez. I hope there's a new lead by January and the album by Feb/March.
