This is why I want them to do a proper flashback episode so we can see EXACTLY what happened in an unbiased way. I know its not going to be the next episode, but perhaps as just a special or something later in the year would be good. They would just have to reuse clips they've shown and then film a few additional ones (Bethany being hit with the shovel etc). IMO, it's the only clear way we can get all the answers about That Night without any character notices getting in the way. God knows that Marlene will try and pull some more "Bethany is alive someone is buried" stunts because we only hear from Charles' perspective.
