Yeah Teenage Dream was recorded in 7 months. The fact that Katy has already written songs (she mentioned that she's already written a bunch), working with Stargate + Ester Dean (confirmed) which means they've probably created at least 3 or 4 demos. It's more about laying down vocals than it is actually writing the song. I'm sure she can manage an August release.

Plus guys remember, Wide Awake was written, recorded, and produced in 4 DAYS! She's teh queen of eing under pressure

It wasn't confirmed like "Katy has worked on a song with Stargate." but "confirmed" in an interview with Ester Dean where she was talking about the process of creating a song, and she mentioned that a song she loved and wanted to keep for her own album was being referred to as "The Katy Perry song" by the Friday after it was created.

It's called "Edge", so if a song about Edges appears on her next album we know she lies about creating the songs herself!

Friday, the final day of sessions, was quiet. Dean came in, later than usual, to add bridges and some extra verses to the songs they had worked on. While waiting for her, Hermansen reviewed their output for the week. Besides “How You Love It,” there was a fiery up-tempo number called “Edge.” (Dean had also claimed this one for herself, on Wednesday, when they wrote it, but by Friday the song was being referred to as “the Katy Perry song.”) There was also a promising R. & B. song they had composed on Thursday, although the hook wasn’t strong enough yet.

Not sure. But it kinda clicked into place after she was like "My next album is inspired by Firework!" Now I wonder who co-wrote and produced that

She scored the biggest hit of her career with him, but also her most critically panned song (which still went Gold as just an album track). So its more likely she'll be working with him again, maybe even filling Luke's spot?

I'm here for house music Katy I just want it to remain an album track so she won't get dragged to the pits for trying to hit those high notes live

I'd be here for some guitar driven techno music though, Teenage Dream was a flawless example of it.

Well she can still work with Max, Benny, and Cirkut so it's not a big deal. Katy's starting her own record label anyways so she'll be on that one instead of on Capitol.
