Lol yeah sales wise she will always be above.. but she had virtually no competition. Nothing else interesting was happening, we had Shake it Off and Blank Space smashing and everything was focused on that, then hype died down so she released Bad Blood and then had some beef with Nicki and Kanye to keep people interested.
Meanwhile Rihanna was procrastinating and Britney was forced to release an Iggy single... other than that, nothing. If there had been some other pop girls who were interesting it might have divided some of the attention a bit to stop her feeling so overexposed
It was a great era though even if she sucks
