I don't think that there were 2 ARTPOPs, just a bunch of songs that didn't mix together and that translated to the final album. I can believe her when she says "I wrote like 100 songs for ARTPOP", counting very rough demos, reworked old songs and the songs we got, the number could be impressive.

2012/early-2013 ARTPOP would have been a lot different, she had too much time when she broke her hip to worry about little details. I so want all the early demos to leak from that time, I'm sure they'll prove me right.

Yeah imo it means she didn't have a clear idea of what she wanted the record to be so she just wrote a bung of songs hoping some would be good enough to be on the same album.

I think the 2012 ARTPOP sounded more like Aura / Stache / Partynauseous you know.

Aura/Burqa was definitely made in 2012 cause she wore Burqa in September 2012 and Stache was released around this time. And I'm glad the album changed if so.

I doubt we'll ever get any of the demos from that era. I mean, Born This Way was released over 3 years ago, and the only demo we ever got from that was "Stuck On F**kin' You", which was released by Gaga herself.

this is so disappointing though. I was most excited for zedd and madeon's tracks on the album, and it seems like G.U.Y. and gypsy are the only organic tracks from them

Me too, I was expecting more hard EDM songs. I think the second ARTPOP we have today is much better than the first from 2012.
