I downloaded the demo tonight. I finished my first female sim and I'm making her brother now. I'm liking CAS, though I never got TS3 so I'm used to the basic CAS from TS and TS2. I'm not sold on getting the game, but I am thinking about it now that I've played the demo. I stayed with TS2 when 3 was released, but I got a Windows 8 computer last Christmas and haven't been able to play any expansions past Nightlife (I own them all). Maybe it's time to move on...

Mine is usually 2 but I go for 1 when I want to look at the animation.

They have bassinets, rather than cribs.

But the last statement is far-fetched. There are different things to do. Not less. The fans who went to Creator Camp confirmed this.

There is still heaps of features, just different to what we already have etc.

However, my TS2 gameplay is a little more timely this time around. I guess I know how to control my addiction to it these days. I try to play it in the afternoon if I'm not out of the house and if I do play, I try to end at a certain time so I can go walk my dogs and listen to music during the evening.

In addition, I've noticed that I don't use cheats as much. I seem to be doing a much better job at taking care of my Sims while still managing for them to have lives. I mainly use the Energizer Rewards object to boost all their needs up. It does WONDERS for college students btw.

Meh, The Sims 3 was boring because the whole point of The Sims was removed = playing your lot. You basically had no need to stay, and trying to get your Sims to do something was annoying because you'd control one Sim, next minute you'd go back to your other Sim and he'd be home again. You could never get Sims to stay on one lot at time unless you held an event there or downloaded the mod that stops Sims travelling, while keeping free will on.

The Sims 3 is only playable to me because Bridgeport SLAYS lives, and all the other worlds I've played were incredibly average.

Nah. I'm more of a Soap Opera/Family type challenge.

I believe I made it to generation four before quitting back in 2008. I'm determined to make this legacy stick. I got one lady lined up for Trevor so getting a couple kids is the next challenge (and getting her moved in with him and married to him).

There was also a Soap Opera challenge I tried back when I was in Junior High. I believe the objective was to create a Sim and make everyone she befriended to move in with her family and make sure everyone's story continued until the 5th generation of the original Sim.

I also tried the Free Will challenge but that didn't last long because they always start a fire and die.

I want to try the Black Widow challenge though.

I got bored with all my other TS3 families so I made a new one where a woman is a prostitute (every time she woohoos with some random I do the motherlode cheat as her payment ) but then she gets knocked up with quadruplets so she takes a break from being a prostitute. Since she's a pros she doesn't know who the father is and there's no The Sims Maury to try and find him. But of course she's outgrown her 1 bedroom apartment and needs to move asap so she goes back to being a pros. After her first few flings she gets pregnant AGAIN and manages to scrape enough cash together to move into a fancy house across the bridge in Bridgeport. She has her fifth daughter and takes her home when all of the sudden a burglar breaks into her home and she calls the cops. Now she's dating one of the cops that showed up but has to keep her profession and past a secret.
