Also the fact that critics don't really sit with an album to get a real feel for it anymore kind of invalidates a lot of what they say.
The review turn around rate is like 2-5 days nowadays. It's all commercialized. I know Anti greatly benefitted from this type of commodification of reviews.

What Ronson's sound is stale now but he was great at his peak last decade, producing the acclaimed classic Back To Black so I thought he'd maybe be able to help her string together a few good melodies. Tame Impala on the other hand have made three really consistent, unique albums with no filler.
