I think Naver paid a huge amount for EXO to basically be their CF models. So they just might get a lot of money from it, since it's not album sales

Wait, I hope so . The way SM splits earnings is disgusting. EXO should the extra coins now that SM are pulling this BS on the fans, it would make me feel better about spending, rather than thinking it's going straight to White Fox (or w.e their name is)'s debut.

No artists (that don't write\buy credits for\produce their own songs ) get a lot of money from music sales. Not even american ones. CF deals and tours is where big money for artists is.

EXO makes some serious cash on tours though $80M with Exoluxion.
