The Idol contenders have gone down considerably in recent years. 98% of them lack strong stage presence and are average vocalists. It's a sad day in hell when people think Haley is a great singer or the best singer out of that race.
Standards have become so low.
American Idol alumni aren't even selling like they used to. Kelly, Fantasia, Ruben and many others have fallen by the wayside. Carrie is the only one who is truly standing and that's mainly because she has strong country support. But even then, I don't hear much about her anymore. The Idol gimmick is wearing off.
Also because it needs a higher position on radio airplay.
