It's like she tried experimented with sounds/styles she's never tried before and not every experiment worked. But that's OK. She needed time to make mistakes and mess up to learn and be able to get it right next time.

I think this is the best description on Red. Red is so unstable and inconsistent. Some of the songs of this album are her best but unfortunately, some songs are also underwhelming. She also didn't show too much maturity on this album, listen to Stay Stay Stay and Starlight. I hope LP5 will make up for this mistakes.
EDIT: Only delete The Moment I Knew on bonus tracks. Come Back... Be Here and Girl at Home are just fine, especially CB...BH
