I do wonder how long 1D will last. BSB lasted from 1997-2001, NSYNC 1998-2001. So 1D might have another year or two of big success. They are doing really well at milking their phenomenon though (releasing 2 albums last year was a great idea), and adapting to current trends with the latest is making it a big success.
Last night I listened to Britney Jean on KIIS FM cuz they played the whole album on 100s of Clear Channel stations (so much for no promo) and she should either kill herself or retire. It doesn't matter which, as long as I don't have to hear her chipmunk voice anymore. It's insulting.

I heard parts of it too while driving, I felt so bad tbh. They really need to let her go, it's so cruel. Her bombing in every single aspect might finally allow her to be free.
Underlining the fact that in the end she's just an ordinary 16 yo little pale post-emo craze brat that will unsuccessfully dump around in the music biz for the next 20 years with only a handful of people noticing the things she does or the songs she releases. She could be this generation's answer to Robyn (dat ugly ****, not the success-whoring barbadian one)
