I think she is fine with the music she makes. Otherwise yall guys think she would f/uck the music with brilliant lyrics like that? She wouldnt let that happen.

Y'all are taking what she said in the wrong way. She was asked what music she was into lately, and she said she's just not into pop music much these days. She didn't say ANYTHING along the lines of being "above" pop music. I mean, look at most of the pop charts lately, her style of music is nothing like 75% of it. And the pop artists she is a fan of, are currently on a break. Katy just came back, but that's 1 song. The pop scene has been stale lately. You guys are reading into it all wrong and it's rather annoying that you're putting words into her mouth and getting pissy about it.
I mean, do you expect her to like songs like Applause, Right Now, Blurred Lines, Thrift Shop, etc? She is NOT someone who stans for dance music. I see her being a fan of Bruno and JT, and that's probably about it...
She also has said like a million times that she's into vocals, and quite frankly, most of the pop music now has **** for vocals.

So correct. Why are you all pressed about what she said in an interview? She might write and make pop music but it doesn't mean she is on the same level as them. She wasn't even insulting pop culture either, she is just stating that she favours something else over it.
