It's definitely DHY that's underperforming Freedom seems to be regarded as some kind of new holy hymn on this forum (it's not) and 6 Inch is too much of a bop to be getting low scores.

I like Freedom, but that's towards the bottom for me so I don't understand why everyone's loving it so much more than other standout songs.

Freedom and All Night are probably the most underrated songs on Lemonade.
Don't Hurt Yourself is a little bit rough on my ears (like Ring the Alarm times 10), Hold Up gets repetitive and is very anti-climatic (too much rap singing), and Sorry is just boring (musically, lyrically, vocally).
Sometimes I think I like the exact opposite to what everyone else likes.

DHY is a highlight for me because of what it is, not because it's one of my favorite songs

like the fact that Bey made an alt rock pop song with distorted vocals and heavy bass / organs is....... insane, but it's not one of my favorite songs it's actually probably one of my 'least' faves on the album

but like i said, i do still think it's a highlight not only off Lemonade but her discography. it's sometimes good to have jarring, divisive art.... i would hate to stan for a one-note artist

i don't think it could have been anything else tho........ like i feel like we knew what we were getting when it was a song called Freedom feat. Kendrick and it had the sound from the tour promos....

it slays, and for an album that i originally thought was gonna be heavy on the BLM promo / representation, i feel like it perfectly encompasses the message without doing the most... like it's a song that is still relatable for all audiences despite it's subject matter

and that's the magic of Beyoncé! bringing empowerment and unpopular opinions to the mainstream!

Some tea about the LEMONADE rate:
One of these songs (Don't Hurt Yourself, 6 inch, Freedom) is tragically underperforming

An absolute mess. I gave DHY my 11 and 6 Inch/Freedom got a 9 and a 10 from me. Any placement outside of the top 5 is unacceptable

Is it bad I didn't give any song more than a 9? I just don't consider any song to be THAT good. A 10/11 would be something like Love On Top or Crazy in Love, a timeless classic (in the making). I just don't feel Lemonade has any such song.

I think I've been converted to the church of Beyonce. I've always liked a few singles and loved DC when I was younger and I'm a huge Solange fan but Lemonade is full on amazing. Like I literally listen to it everyday. On my way to work, before I go to sleep. It's the first time Beyonce has really sucked me in, I watched Lemonade the last two nights aswell. DHY started off as my #1 favorite...it was an instant Top 5 Beyonce catalog. while i still love it...now i kinda rank it in the middle in context of the rest of the album. its not Top 3 LEM for me like i initially said.
