Different agencies look for different things.

SM would never pick up an non eastern Asian usually usually a White mix with southern asian but have to be pale and rich.

However JYP would pick up tons of southern Asians but thats his limit nothing too radical.

Then you have YG based on his actions on Kpopstar and how he is casting his music team (bekahboom not Asian yet she is uder YG staff, BIGBANG all black tour band, 2NE1's all black tour band they keep the same bands when they tour each time i have noticed) he would cast an non Asian as he did and tried to keep her on Kpopstar as long as he could. She was light skinned black. Then he also casted Lee Michelle who was the only one of the Supearls not allowed into JYP because thats where the rest of the trainees went who were in the Supearls.

However there are some small agencies in korea that cast persons of white descent. Remember Busker Busker's brad is 100% white.

4 members out of 9 have no lines at all in Let It Rain.

Let me just point out that Seohyun also has no solo lines in I'm in Love With the Hero.

The non-vocalists actually do have lines in Let it Rain and Beautiful Stranger, they're just in unison with the vocalists. The only one I remember off the top of my head is that Taeyeon's first part in Let it Rain is sung with Sooyoung.
That's the tradeoff for making a really good album, I guess.

I literally can't hear anyone other than TTSJ and Sunny in Beautiful Stranger, and I'm good at hearing background vocals etc.

But the shade at their best album being the one where only half the group is really singing.

I'm always shocked at how little focus they give Sooyoung in Japanese songs. They gave her Galaxy Supernova from the third album but in the other two she doesn't have much presence despite being the best in Japanese.

Even with The Boys and Cheap Creeper they gave Jessica and Tiffany loads of lines, SM should promote Sooyoung more in Japan and send her to do variety shows with Seohyun on Japanese TV.
