They made a mistake. Riri was given her backup's mic while her backup got hers. That's why her voice kinda losing the touch. Backup's mic is usually at much lower volume.

I'm a fan, not a delusional stan. If I ever say something bad about Rihanna it's because it's true, that performance was a mess.

the micro was programed to have some voice effects that sounded like auto tune. of course that they learned and that in X Factor it has to be much better, sometimes this negative backlash is good so they won't make the same mistake
