It will have a bit of an effect, but if she doesn't use it the right way it might do nothing, or not much.
and Nicole is a bad example, i guess people also didn't like her music.

The X Factor doesn't do anything if you don't correctly take advantage of the exposure. Nicole didn't. Kelly's was half-assed. It can have an impact if done correctly.

X-factor is not gonna automatically boost Demi's career but if Demi takes the opportunity and uses and takes full advantage of X-factor then it has the possibility to make her huge. Nicole did not do this but if Demi plays her cards right then X-factor is gonna mean big things for her.
But I'm pretty sure it will have an affect. I mean it hasn't even started yet and it's helped her career so much already.
that means it won't boost her popularity bcz outside US no one cares about US reality shows
