My first week of classes has been a breeze, it's my work study that has me exhausted.
I'm considering adding an Anthropology minor bc the material is so fascinating and I'll only need 4 more classes in the department. The only class I see giving me trouble this semester is Behavioral Stats. Math is not the business -- at least for me. But other than that, this semester should be easy.
My first week ended.
Summary: I have 4 classes I love because of the professor engaging the students. Then there is my math class where the instructor teaches like several different math subjects within a hour. She doesnt even give me time for it to process in our brains before giving the answer in moving on.
I love walking around campus, it allows me to reflect and enjoy the sun,weather and enviroment
I still havent met a single person [yet]
Ughhh like I don't know how I even knew this stuff in the first place? It's so weird. I wish we took the first week for review but that's what they have tutorials for (which I was too late to sign up for). I'm mostly just looking over my notes from AB and am going to look at online resources.
It doesn't help that I totally missed the week of logs and exponentials from being sick when they're one of the fundamental concepts
What grade did you end up getting?
Try Paul's Online Maths Notes or KhanAcademy if you need extra resources for Calc2, I found them quite helpful last semester.
Gorlz let me tell you something right now, do NOT do Linear Algebra at any cost
It's the ****ing pits; I'm barely halfway through my semester and I'm already clueless. If you think Calc2 is bad then you will be dragged to Hell and back with Linear Alg omfg

My intermediate accounting book is like 2 regular textbooks combined I think it is Wiley actually. I'm nervous for this class because apparently my professor takes the questions directly from the CPA exam.
It's also great being a junior and not knowing what you really want to do #yayme
I am a freshman and i'm majoring in a Theater B.F.A. with a concentration in Scenic/Light Design. Classes are going great even though I have to read a bunch of plays , but its cool. My family don't agree with my academic choice but its my life lol. tbh though I am thinking about my future (Having a maybe job ain't gon cut it if I want to live in LA smh) Does anyone know if you can get a job with a minor?
I have a question. If someone who is a resident of California chooses to study in let's say New Jersey or Texas, is he/she still entitled to grants and student loans? Especially for someone who has no financial support from the family
Yeah, I think you would be. However, I know some state schools like UCLA and Berkeley give most of their aid to in state kids. Idk if that's the case for all state schools. But you should definitely still be eligible for FA in some form, especially if you aren't going to have any expected family contribution.

I literally cant make friends, and im not here for another 4 years of hotmess, stress and despair
They cancelled the first day of classes on Tuesday so we can have a "2nd year orientation" to meet our teachers and see whats coming, even though we've met all the instructors and know our way around campus.
But I'll take the day off of classes. Hopefully there's free food too.

Uni is awesome! So much better than high school. Try to make friends with kids in your major by going to the extra curricular activities (colloquiums, picnics, and clubs). You'll most likely have similar interests
