David Cameron had no intention of resigning if a yes vote won. He's not that entwined in the whole Scottish debate. Plus theres a general election soon so it wouldn't even make any sense. The public can decide his fate then.
Plus if more power is devolved to Scotland I hope England gets the same self governing powers. The system at the moment is a one way street with non English mps still able to have a say in English laws. This has to change and Scotland can not get preferential treatment. This has caused a lot of resentment amongst the English. Devolution should equally work for all the home nations best interests.
You can't be the leader of a country when it's torn apart and be sure of job security. The only reason he would've stayed Prime Minister is if he wanted to ensure the Conservative Party were completely and utterly humiliated in the upcoming General Election. He, and his party, would've been the ones blamed by the English public. Bit more difficult to completely rebrand your party though.
David Cameron said that English devolution is coming, but I don't think Labour are agreeing to it. I don't think English devolution is enough though, it needs to be broken down into regions - the north of England especially needs it's own parliament.
wasn't it mostly Rangers (football club fans) causing the riots last night? I wouldn't be surprised if it was because sectarianism is still a huge problem in Glasgow
