BTW was amazing last night. More specifically, the way she entered the stage was amazing. The curtain dropped and everyone was like "where is she?" "was that a mistake?"
And then she pops her head out of the door and the crowd went nuts!
Seriously, it was both adorable and epic. Hew else?
I was there last night. Overall a great show. But a few things I didn't love...
1) Her speaking voice. She affected this Paris Hilton-Kim Kardashian baby doll voice every time she spoke the whole night. Her regular speaking voice is incredible - but this fake one just made her seem like a bimbo.
2) Her wig. Just horrible horrible horrible. This is what I hated the most about the show. It looked like something from Fraggle Rock gone horribly wrong. It was so huge that it made her body look oddly top-heavy and made her legs look stubby and squat. It only accentuated the weight she's gained recently. Not flattering.
3) The setlist. She came out over an hour late and played just over an hour. No TEOG, no Gypsy… but we got Black Jesus and the Poker Face piano rendition for the 45476th time?? G.U.Y. for the encore was fun but the show felt incomplete. After she walked off people weren’t leaving because we assumed there was another encore… until the house lights came on. I have never seen TEOG live and really sad I didn't get to.
i agree. and i love that she still does that crazy choreo in the chorus. when she brings her legs up and does the monster paws to the side. total nostalgia
I'm confused by her hair and makeup choices. Especially the makeup. From what I saw from the Letterman clip, it looked like she had white face paint on. Is it just that she was wearing stage (not camera-ready) makeup?
