Paige Elliot Begins Lawsuit Proceedings
After a vicious, unforeseen assault from her ex-husband David Elliot, Paige Brooklyn (better known as by the surname Elliot) officially filed for a lawsuit against Elliot this morning. Elliot, who is charged with aggravated assault, battery, cause of grievous bodily harm, trespassing, violation of restraining order and destruction of personal property, aged 33, was transferred into police custody last night after police arrived at Brooklyn's apartment in Bridgeport, SimNation. Brooklyn immediately claimed she planned to sue Elliot for the attack, though a nose job was scheduled for this morning first after Elliot's attack caused a broken nose to Brooklyn.
Arriving to the office of her lawyer, Charlotte Eaton, Brooklyn arrived with a bandage and gauze over her nose. Reports state that Brooklyn was slightly woozy, and apparently clumsy, a result of the morphine given to her during and just after the rhinoplasty to repair her broken nose; reports also state that she was meant to stay checked into the plastic surgery's recovery unit for another three days before she could leave. Adamant about filing for a lawsuit towards Elliot as quickly as possible, Brooklyn left the plastic surgery suit an estimated 15 minutes after waking up from the procedure, then proceeded to go to her Bridgeport Hills mansion, change clothes, then drive immediately to her lawyer's office.
Brooklyn stated to her lawyer that she wants to "sue [Elliot] for every penny he has", also stating she planned to make sure he never finds work or comfort within the city. Brooklyn stated she plans to sue Elliot for each of the crimes he was persecuted and arrested for, with the addition of mental distress and emotional trauma. Eaton agreed to the idea, and the two have stated Elliot is to be sued for an estimated minimum of $14,000,000 for the incident, an amount that Elliot is rumored to not even have after several drops in investments to his various owned business.
Despite regular lawsuits needing a minimum of 7-8 business days to process before the first court date is to be set, Brooklyn demanded the court cases begin this evening, which was accepted by both Eaton and the city honor of Bridgeport. Elliot is to be brought to the Bridgeport Courthouse at 7:00 P.M. this evening.
Paige Elliot Appears on the Ellen DeGeneres Show
Being in a complete rush due to her lawsuit-related plans today, Paige Elliot appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show early today, coming almost directly from her appointment with her lawyer, only stopping at home to change clothes into a grey turtleneck minidress, paired with a deep red belt and matching Louboutin heels. She also appeared with her rhinoplasty bandage, due to her reconstructive job this morning before appearing at her lawyer's. Paige appeared in a normal mood, bantering with Ellen as usual with Ellen's show before she went on to perform her single "S/E/X". However, despite her nose job, her singing was only slightly challenged, being just a small bit nasal but otherwise normal and beautiful.
Paige Elliot Appears on Maury
Taking more time between this appearance and her performance on Ellen, Paige Elliot appeared on Maury later in the afternoon, dressed in a clean, white skirt suit with absolutely no other colors other than the red soles of her heels. She acted professional for a majority of the show, attempting to hide some of her emotions during it.
"So," Maury begin to Paige, crossing his legs. "The last time you were here, we had some... difficulties relating to David."
"Yeah, he punched me in the face," Paige responded, rolling her eyes and looking over to the audience. "Don't beat around the bush with this. I know what happened. You asked me to come here to open up about the experience, and I'll try to do that. Just be blunt with me. Don't try to sugar coat this
[BLEEP] with me."
"Oh, my..." Maury seemed almost shocked, his eyes wide. "Well then, we'll... Jump right into things. Paige, what were you doing last night, just before the attack? Anything unusual or special? Were you in a vulnerable state?"
Paige rolled her eyes. "It was a bit after 2 A.M. I was just about to take a shower, and I had actually just gotten undressed... I heard a pounding at the door. I was kind of pissed off, you know, cuz I mean, who the
[BLEEP] pounds at the door at 2 in the morning when you're about to take a shower. So, yeah, I put on a towel and went down... I opened it up, and I just..." She bit her lip, tears forming at the corners of her eyes.
"Go on, Paige," Maury urged her on. "Open up about it. I think the news all reported about it, but we just... Want to know how you feel. We care about you."
"It's fine," she snapped back, biting her lip more. "It's fine. You guys don't know me. That's... the point of this, I guess. But, back to just last night... He immediately hit me in the neck... And I flew over to the dining table. He just... wouldn't let up after that. He just kept hitting, and kicking..." She wipes her eyes briefly, then recollects herself. She stays absolutely calm for the rest of the interview. "I eventually ran up to my bedroom, and he just tried to follow me... I kicked him on the stairwell, and he fell back down... I locked myself in my room, and called the police, but he just... Broke it down. I remember getting slammed through the patio door, and I was out in the cold for just a moment, then he grabbed me... But after that, nothing. I woke up to the police in the room, by my bed, and I got taken in..."
After a minute of silence, Paige suddenly gets up and leaves the set. Everyone in the audience, including Maury himself, stared in shock, before the show began to move on.
Brooklyn vs. Elliot in Court; Day 1
Bringing an end to an event-filled day for Paige, a preliminary hearing began for the court, titled Brooklyn (referring to Paige) vs. Elliot (referring to David). A Bridgeport court judge, Justice Cynthia Holland, was to be the judge for the case, and opened the case with both Brooklyn and Elliot in the court with their respective lawyers. Brooklyn remained calm and collected, as usual for herself, though Elliot appeared in a slacked manor, attempting to kick his feet up on the desk before him until Justice Holland reprimanded him for it.
It was made clear just through the simple hearing that Elliot was charged with aggravated assault, battery, cause of mental distress, emotional trauma, cause of grievous bodily harm, trespassing, violation of restraining order and destruction of personal property. The original incident, which caused Bridgeport's Cosmopolitan building to question its own security, was only the previous night, an unseen record in high-file lawsuits and court cases.
The hearing was short, and both parties, plaintiff and defendant, were released only two hours after it began. The actual case begins tomorrow, Thursday, March 6.
