I'd be fine with that too, but I guess having just a verse + chorus is more like Idol?
Plus, think about he judges. 3ish mins from 15 contestants + time to write the critiques could be a lot of time for some judges. If we all submitted shorter songs, we'd likely get results faster.
I'm fine either way, but just want to make sure everyone is judged on an equal playing field basically.
