SKY FERREIRA VEVO SESSION FOR ALBUM
Sky Ferreira posted a series of video that served as a Vevo session in promotion of her album released today 'Sky Ferreira: The Unreleased Collection'. She performed four songs from the album and the session has received some attention from viewers, gathering about 100,000 views in two hours. Ferreira never really received much attention before so all this new publicity for her must be quite new. Her album Sky Ferreira: The Unreleased Collection is at #10 on the iTunes Album Charts.
Setlist for the VEVO Session:
1. Wish I Stayed (Ellie Goulding cover/demo)
2. Dynamite State
3. Elevator
4. American Dream

Feeling: The blonde, English rose with the angelic voice is a force to be reckoned with. Once into the upbeat dance songs the tiny dancer is somewhat of a festival headbanger, jumping and dancing across the stage and getting the audience riled up too.
With an energetic band and synth-infused material Ellie had everyone singing and dancing along with her. Sunday night qualms were soon forgotten as revellers let their hair down.
The Look: Accompanying her band of a drummer, two keyboard players and a guitarist, Ellie was joined by three violinists.
The Burn singer sported a vest top revealing her toned and slender body and some patterned pants to jazz it up. Her blonde locks were left down and flailed wildly as she rocked out with her band.
Tunes: Ellie kicked off the night with Dreaming Again and Bleeding In The Dark, she finished off with Burn.
Her husky, distinct sound was heard clearly when she sang Bleeding In The Dark. Without killing the mood of the eager crowd with mellow music, Goulding brought back to beat with Burn.
Celeb Spots: Ellie kept the eyes focused on her and her band so no celeb friends were spotted. Also quite a number of her fellow British acts are Transatlantic touring at the moment!
Sweat Factor: Ellie was feeling the heat and even whipped off her outer top and had wind fans placed strategically at the front of the stage to keep her cool. The crowd was sweating but the more mellow tunes allowed for a warm down between the dance tracks.

Well I'm sure no one took this random talk show:
Michael Essany Interview: Ellie Goulding on Green Goddesses, Touring, and Finding New Music
Michael Essany: Do you listen to any hip-hop? Who do you like?
EG: Yeah! I do! Recently, I like Kendrick Lamar and his style. And I like that A$AP [Rocky] track with Florence (Welch). [pauses] I don’t love it, but I like it. But when I first heard “****in’ Problems” I laughed – thought it was hilarious. But yeah, I do. I listen to so much stuff. I really do.
ME: I figured, with your schedule, you may not have time to look for new music.
EG: Any time I’m on my computer I’m looking for new stuff. [pauses] You know what? I haven’t heard anything that’s really blown my mind lately. And maybe I just need to find it? But just because something doesn’t have a million views doesn’t mean it’s not great. Sometimes I find stuff and I’m like why has this not gotten more views? Then word spreads, and then it does. I’ve just found a lot of music blogs from people posting my music, and me wondering where they came from.
ME: So you’re on tour, and this is your first stop. What are some of your tour necessities?
EG: I need my running shoes; I wear those [points at Nike trainers] a lot. I need my boots. (Ellie’s wearing Doc Martens.) Headphones, trainers, my steamer – which I use every time I perform for my voice. Those are my essentials. I don’t usually put on a lot of make-up but I put on quite a lot for the stage. But yeah, I don’t feel ready! It’s my first show, and I feel like I just need to get into the groove. But soundcheck went really well; it was amazing. Actually, the last time I was here was with Skrillex. It seems like we’ve played quite a lot of similar venues, which is funny. Are you staying to watch?
ME: Yes, I’ll be here! It’s actually pretty crazy how this meeting came about – I emailed Jamie telling him about the Instagram photo, and I had no idea he’d offer to set this up.
EG: [laughs] It’s so funny how you wouldn’t even be here if I hadn’t happened to—I was just looking for music, and I was like, you know what, I’m going to Instagram a photo of this ridiculous cocktail. And I did. And it went down so quick. I was just sipping on it like a ****ing—what do you call those—slushpuppies? Slushies. And before I knew it, it was gone, and I had a live TV performance that night on German TV for 6 million people, and I was starting to feel a little bit tipsy. [laughs]
ME: It hits you later! It always sneaks up on you like that.
EG: Yeah, I know. One time I played a show, and for some reason I was drinking and drinking before I played. The drinks they were giving me were called Green Goddesses, and they do creep up on you! They tasted so delicious and non-alcoholic, so I was drinking loads, and it was probably my worst-ever performance I’ve ever given, because I was just too drunk. It’s not good! I’m trying to wean myself off, so I’ll just have one before I go on. Depending on the occasion, I’ll have a few afterwards. I’m more confident. Like, I sing some pretty ****ing high notes during your show, and sometimes I go like [sings] and it just doesn’t cut it. But when I’ve had alcohol, I’m like [uses fist as mic and sings boldly]. It does make a difference! I had some blood tests the other day, just to check I’m okay. Somehow, I’m completely 100% healthy. [laughs] Nothing wrong with me! We were all a bit surprised.
ME: Well, that’s good! There is something I wanted to ask you, actually – how did that Tinie Tempah verse on “Hanging On” come about?
EG: Well, first we did a track called “Wonderman”, which was his song. I sang on that, and there were some really cool remixes to that song. So I sent him “Hanging On” to record, and he loved it. And I love it. You know what, there have been mixed feelings on that, like really mixed. But everyone knows the words! People come up to me and sing the Tinie bit and stuff. But he’s clever, because he knew that’s what he was doing.
ME: It’s interesting, because he crossed over with some big singles. But for the most part, UK hip-hop just never seems to cross over all the way. But when that record came out, no matter how you felt about it, you did know the words.
EG: Right, it’s massive!
ME: So are you already recording the new album?
EG: I’ve already recorded a bunch of tracks, I just need to get them polished up and finished. I think I just need one extra, final push of inspiration on these tracks, because they’re there, but they’re not all the way done yet. But that’ll be right when I get back to Billboard. He’s in LA – he’s the one who did “Hanging On” as well. So once I get back with him, I’ll finish that off. I’m just gonna bring it out. I don’t know what to call it yet – if you got any ideas, let me know. But I’m just gonna put it out. I’m not gonna do anything for it apart from put it out there.
ME: I think that’s sick! You should do it. How hard is it for you to come up with new material?
EG: Umm, I don’t know. I just hear something. I hear a sound, something on the piano, and it kind of comes. It’s a very two-man thing, me and Jim [Eliot] making Halcyon. He just had these amazing ideas; he seemed to understand what I wanted to do, and it’s very rare that you find someone like that, someone who just gets you. It just takes something like that, just a little noise. [laughs] Just a melody, or anything.
I didn't read this whole thing, I just did it for free promo

"Notorious" release; Beyoncé promo
BEYONCÉ ON KIIS FM; PREMIERES NEW SINGLE
Today, Beyoncé released her new single "Notorious" today with a worldwide premiere on KIIS FM. As well as premiering the song on the radio, she sat down for an interview to discuss the single and the upcoming album.
"The single is called 'Notorious' and is basically a cocky and straightforward anthem, celebrating notoriety and relishing in it. It's a collaboration between Danja, Solange, and myself. It was nice to work in the studio with a small group and really hash out my ideas."
"The album does have a name, but I'm not revealing just yet. It's my favorite title yet."
Beyoncé also revealed the Notorious video would be released tomorrow.
"The video is super colorful and raunchy, it's my most outlandish video yet. Lots of latex, whips, and masks."

Example rocks the final GMA Summer Concert Series concert
(please ignore the Lady Gaga banner on the side )
Earlier today, Example closed the ultra-successful Summer Concert Series with a bang, performing Forget About Never, Under The Golden Tree, and High Tides.
Forget About Never
The performance started off with a surprise, asthe music started and no one was there. People started getting angry when Example popped out from the crowd and started singing while signing autographs. He ran through the rambunctious crowd to the stage right before the chorus started. As the chorus came close to an end the whole stage was filled with smoke, and he snapped his fingers and it was gone. During the Showtek-produced breakdown, Example showed off his dancing skills, and did a perfectly choreographed set with many background dancers.
High Tides
Example took a short break, but he was right back singing his upcoming 2nd single High Tides with Alpines. The song started off with him in a boat with a fake wave behind him (cheesy, I know ), as he was singing the slow and chill pre-chorus beautifully, nailing all the notes. As the chorus came in, Sub Focus's production came to shine. Example jumped out of the boat and started to rap while strobe lights surrounded the stage. Immediately after, Alpines walked out of the boat and sang with her signature clear and breathy tone, and trained her rapping skills by rapping Example's pre-chorus.
Under The Golden Tree
The set was painted beautifully for the next song, of which Example was lying down on a fake beach, singing the almost spoken word verses with the beachy and the signature robotic tone of Daft Punk shining through. The chorus then came around, and Example shot up into the air and stood up onto a levitated platform, where he danced to the astoundingly relaxing breakdown, and then all of a sudden, the background turned aggresive and Example started to rap once again, with Daft Punk's vocals in perfect harmony as background vocals.

Beyoncé on the Today Show
BEYONCÉ PERFORMS "NOTORIOUS" ON THE TODAY SHOW
Beyoncé appeared on The Today Show this morning to perform her new single "Notorious", as well as discussing her new album and the direction she decided to take.
The performance was incredibly high energy, with a platinum blonde Beyoncé performing the upbeat electro-trap anthem wearing a skin tight red latex garter belt and matching bra, complete with a riding crop and custom Louboutin boots.
The new look Beyoncé had taken was reminiscent of her previous Sasha Fierce alter-ego, but much more aggressive and bold. The crowd reception was great and the choreography and stage blocking was sharp and on point.
During her interview, Beyoncé imagined a "futuristic hip-hop music scene that she could paint for her album".
"This album I basically imagined a futuristic sound that hip-hop could embrace. About a quarter of my album is in a style that I like to call electro-trap. It's like European and electronic infused trap and hip-hop music. At the core it's trap and hip-hop, but with an electronic feel. I still have plenty of some good traditional Beyoncé R&B and pop for the fans. I didn't want to stray to far away from what they like from me and what I like to do, but it is important for me to venture out and try new things with each project."
"We chose 'Notorious' for the first single simply because we felt it was the loudest and most impactful song that conveyed the diva-ish and anthemic side of the album the best. Of course, when you release a lead single, you want something powerful and exciting."
